The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has achieved another significant victory by liberating the 17th Senga Infantry Division. Our forces now control the capital of Sennar after defeating the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), its allies in the terrorist Islamic Movement, and the Popular Defense Forces.
In this heroic campaign, our valiant RSF soldiers successfully liberated the headquarters of the 17th Infantry Division in Senga, on the west bank of the Blue Nile. This latest victory is crucial given the strategic location and military significance of the division. Our forces seized a large stock of military equipment, including 112 fully equipped vehicles, six tracked armored vehicles, a substantial quantity of weapons, ammunition, and cannons, and 250 motorcycles. The enemy suffered heavy casualties, numbering in the hundreds. Our troops have also taken control of all key institutions in the area, including the state government headquarters.
The liberation of the 17th Infantry Division marks an important step in our fight to free Sudan from the clutches of the extremist former regime, the Islamic Movement, and their terror-driven allies within the SAF leadership. Our soldiers have once again demonstrated exceptional valor, forcing the opposing forces to flee in shame and defeat. We are determined to liberate our country once and for all from the shackles of terrorism — and to usher in a new era marked by peace and stability.
The RSF is committed to bringing to fruition the Sudanese people’s aspirations for a renewed nation, and to establishing a free and democratic Sudan, where inclusivity, tolerance, and civil liberties reign.
